Boss Bidet | Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Boss Bidet ("Boss Bidet," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit or make a purchase from bossbidet.com (the "Site"), contact us, or otherwise interact with us. This policy also describes the choices and rights available to you under applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), other U.S. state privacy laws, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), and Canada's PIPEDA.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Boss Bidet is based in Houston, Texas, United States. You can reach us at Hi@BossBidet.com or by mail at the address listed in the Contact Us section below. Our Site is hosted on the Shopify platform, which provides the e-commerce infrastructure that allows us to sell our products to you.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Identifiers: name, email address, mailing/shipping address, billing address, phone number.
  • Order information: products purchased, order history, returns/exchanges, customer service communications.
  • Payment information: Boss Bidet does not store full credit card numbers. Payments are processed directly by Shopify Payments and other PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. If you use Shop Pay Installments, your installment plan is originated and serviced by Shop Pay's financing partner, and limited information necessary to underwrite and service the installment plan is shared with that partner.
  • Account information: if you create a customer account (optional), your login credentials and saved addresses.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and other analytics collected automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: your email and SMS subscription status and communication preferences.
  • Information you provide directly: content of customer support requests, reviews, survey responses, or contest/promotion entries.

3. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, sign up for emails/texts, or contact us.
  • Automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies when you browse the Site (see Section 4).
  • From third parties such as Shopify, our payment and shipping partners, and our marketing/advertising partners.

4. Cookies, Pixels & Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and measure and improve our marketing. These fall into the following categories:

  • Essential/functional cookies: required for core Site functionality such as your shopping cart, checkout, and account login (provided by Shopify).
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, used to understand how visitors use the Site.
  • Advertising/retargeting: Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, and TikTok Pixel, used to measure ad performance and show you relevant ads on those and other platforms.
  • AI shopping & discovery tools: we use tracking technology from OpenAI to measure referrals, conversions, and purchases originating from AI-powered shopping and search assistants (for example, ChatGPT).
  • Email/SMS marketing: our email/SMS platform uses tracking pixels and links to measure opens, clicks, and campaign performance for subscribers.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where offered, through the cookie/privacy preference banner on our Site. Disabling certain cookies may limit some features of the Site. We honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") where legally required.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and process payments and installment plans.
  • Provide customer service and respond to inquiries, warranty claims, and returns.
  • Send transactional communications (order confirmations, shipping updates).
  • With your consent or as otherwise permitted, send marketing emails and SMS/text messages about new products, promotions, and offers.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our product offering.
  • Measure and optimize our advertising, including through the pixels described in Section 4.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and establish or defend legal claims.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers: Shopify (our e-commerce platform and hosting provider), payment processors (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay Installments' financing partner), shipping carriers, and customer service tools — solely to operate our business.
  • Marketing and analytics partners: Google (Analytics/Ads), Meta, TikTok, OpenAI, and our email/SMS marketing platform, who receive limited data (such as device identifiers, hashed contact information, and Site activity) to deliver and measure advertising and campaigns. Because this activity may fall under some state laws' broad definitions of a "sale" or "share" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we describe your opt-out rights in Section 7.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Boss Bidet, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction: when you ask us to share information, for example with a gift recipient.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals we know to be under 16 years old.

7. Your Privacy Rights & Choices

All customers. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in any email, and from SMS by replying STOP. You may decline non-essential cookies through the Site's cookie preferences or your browser. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing Hi@BossBidet.com.

  • Know/access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
  • Delete personal information we hold about you;

  • Data portability; and
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email Hi@BossBidet.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or opt out of interest-based advertising by adjusting cookie preferences on the Site. We will verify your request using the information reasonably available to us, and you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may have the right to appeal by replying to our denial. In the preceding 12 months we have disclosed the categories of personal information listed in Section 2 to the categories of third parties listed in Section 6 for the business/advertising purposes described above; we have not sold personal information for monetary consideration.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process your personal information under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (processing your order), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, Site security, and marketing analytics), your consent (marketing emails/SMS and non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal information, to data portability, to object to processing (including direct marketing), and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. Where we transfer personal information outside the EEA/UK (including to the United States), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where required by state law). If we learn we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide our services, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

10. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including relying on Shopify's PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure for payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
